Welcome Spring - some final shares from March

Meet the Robin Family. Above is a picture of this little Acorn doll family "nesting" atop a bouquet of recently purchased tulips. Just a temporary setting for pictures, they actually prefer to sit under the bouquet (or on their placemat).

Mom & Dad measure approximately 3.5" in height, Brother is 3" tall and Sister, just 2.5". I chose to stitch and embellish their clothing is shades of robin egg blue, creams and tan. Their hair is brownish red wool roving, similar in color to the red breasted Robin.

Just 2 Dutch Treat blocks for the month of March.

And the Botanical block for the month of April - Rose of Sharon.

You can learn more about this block on the SVBAQ Sew Along page here and follow along on facebook here.

every quilt tells a story....
